Frisco & Copper Mountain Snowmobile Rentals are the perfect way to discover the Colorado backcountry at your own pace, with over 55,000 acres of terrain. Whether you'd prefer to ride maintained trails or blaze your own, the Vail Pass Winter Recreation area offers over 80 miles of groomed trails and over 200 powder fields set amongst Colorado’s tallest peaks.
Experienced and non-experienced riders alike will appreciate the diversity of the snowmobile terrain located atop Vail Pass. Ride through forested trails, along gladed hillsides and through true backcountry bowls while taking in fantastic views of the Elk, Gore, Sawatch and Ten Mile Mountain Ranges.
Helmets are included in the cost of all Frisco & Copper Mountain Snowmobile Rentals. Snowsuit, boot and goggle rentals are available on-site for a small additional charge.
Snowmobile rentals are available in durations ranging from 2 hours to 8 hours with a number of flexible start times throughout the day. Rider check-in is requested 30 minutes prior to snowmobile rental times.

Additional Information:
- Guests must provide their own transportation to the snowmobile base camp. 4-wheel-drive or all-wheel drive is recommended and frequently required during times of consistent snowfall. Please plan accordingly.
- Peak Season dates include: 11/23/24 – 12/1/24, 12/21/24 – 1/5/25, 1/18/25 –1/20/25, 2/15/25 – 2/17/25 and 3/1/25 - 3/23/25. Please note that 8 hour rentals are not offered during peak times.
- Copper Mountain & Frisco Snowmobile Rentals include a helmet for each rider.
- Copper Mountain Snowmobile Rentals at Vail Pass prices do not include a US National Forest Service trail use & grooming fee of $20.00 per person.
- Snowmobile drivers must be 16 years of age with a valid driver's license to operate their own machine. Drivers must be 18 years of age in order to carry passengers.
- A credit card imprint, serving as a damage deposit, is required on all Copper Mountain Snowmobile Rentals.
- A signed liability waiver for personal injury is required prior to Frisco Snowmobile Rental departure.
- All Snowmobile Rentals have a 24-hour cancellation policy. This policy applies to each machine rented for your party. Reservations are prepaid at the time of booking.
