Self-Guided Snowmobile Rentals at Copper Mountain & Frisco, Colorado
Frisco and Copper Mountain are located just beneath the summit of Vail Pass — home to some of the greatest snowmobile terrain in Colorado. The combination of high elevation, consistent snowfall, and access to the Continental Divide makes this one of the premier destinations for self-guided backcountry snowmobiling in the Rocky Mountains.
Rentals are available in durations ranging from 2 hours to 8 hours, with flexible start times throughout the day. Rider check-in is requested 30 minutes prior to your rental start time. Helmets are included with every rental. Snowmobile suits, boots, and goggles are available on-site for a small additional charge on a first come, first served basis.

Rental Requirements & Policies
- Guests must provide their own transportation to the snowmobile base camp. 4-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive is recommended and frequently required during times of heavy snowfall. Please plan accordingly.
- Helmets are included with all rentals. Snowmobile suits, boots, and goggles are available on-site for a small additional charge on a first come, first served basis.
- Snowmobile drivers must be 16 years of age with a valid driver’s license to operate their own machine. Drivers must be 18 years of age to carry a passenger.
- Prices do not include a $20.00 per person National Forest Service Trail Use & Grooming Fee.
- All rentals are prepaid at the time of booking.
- A credit card imprint, serving as a damage deposit, is required on all rentals.
- A signed liability waiver is required prior to departure.
- All snowmobile rentals have a 24-hour cancellation policy. This policy applies to each machine rented for your party.
