Three riders on a High Adventure guided snowmobile tour at Copper Mountain, Colorado.

High Adventure Tour

Our High Adventure Copper Mountain Snowmobiling Tours were created for riders craving full-throttle access to Colorado’s highest alpine bowls and deepest backcountry powder. Starting at a base elevation of nearly 11,300 feet above sea level, this tour takes place almost entirely on the Continental Divide and offers our most challenging guided snowmobile terrain. With riding elevations exceeding 12,500 feet, there’s no shortage of adrenaline to be had.

High Adventure Tours feature Polaris 550 RMK snowmobiles and full-face helmets. These tours offer the smallest group sizes of any of our guided rides, focusing exclusively on snowmobiling in the most adventurous terrain the Rocky Mountains have to offer. Please note that High Adventure Tours do not allow for double riders due to the challenging nature of the terrain they access.

High Adventure Guided Snowmobile Tours at Copper Mountain, Colorado

What sets the High Adventure Tour apart from other Copper Mountain snowmobile tours is its uncompromising focus on raw, off-trail backcountry riding. At a base elevation of 11,300 feet — higher than the summit of most guided tours — riders are immediately immersed in high alpine terrain that demands skill, confidence, and a hunger for adventure. The Continental Divide serves as your riding ground, offering an ever-changing landscape of steep chutes, open powder bowls, and dramatic Rocky Mountain vistas.

The Polaris 550 RMK is purpose-built for exactly this kind of riding. Lightweight and powerful, it handles steep climbs and deep snow with ease, giving riders the confidence to tackle challenging terrain and fully enjoy the performance of their machine. Combined with the intentionally small group size and expert local guides, this is as close to a true backcountry snowmobile experience as you’ll find near Copper Mountain and Frisco, Colorado.

Previous snowmobile experience is recommended, though our guides will provide thorough instruction before departure to ensure every rider feels prepared heading into the mountains. For information on Colorado trail access and conditions, visit the Colorado Parks & Wildlife website.
